It's a one off cost to produce your audiobook - no more reprinting! You don't even need a paperback version of your story, you can go straight to audio!
Step 1: Reviewing your Manuscript
To start, one of our experienced audiobook engineers will evaluate the genre, word count and ease of deliverance from your manuscript to audiobook. Once accepted, we'll discuss terms, conditions and prices with you. The initial quote of your audiobook is based on the word count so feel free to touch base with us and let us know the word count and whether you're looking to self-narrate or engage one of our talented voice artists to get the ball rolling!
Step 2: Recording your Manuscript
If you choose to self-narrate, we'll schedule mutually suitable times for your recording sessions. Our studio is based in Slacks Creek Brisbane; however, we can arrange a studio close to you if that's more convenient. We prefer to do the recording in 3-to-4-hour blocks over consecutive days, where you'll be guided and coached through the entire narration process by one of our experienced directors.
While we strongly encourage self-narration to further enhance your legacy: your story in your voice and, after all, you know your story best!...we also offer narration through professional voice artists. If you choose this option, we'll discuss an agreeable delivery schedule and give you the opportunity to choose your perfect voice for your work.
We have a wide range and selection of voices including gender, demographics, tones and accents to help bring your story to life as authentically as possible.
Step 3: Post-Production
In the post-production phase, one of our experienced audio engineers will go through the raw WAV files, removing outtakes, extraneous sounds, de-breathing and fundamentally clean the audio to the highest industry standards. Once this process is completed, you will have the opportunity to listen to your audiobook files and advise of any changes you may require and to ultimately approve your audiobook for completion and onto the mastering phase ready for distribution.
We also offer a range of generic and customised sound effects and the option to add music to your audiobook to compliment your narration and maximise listener engagement.
Each hour of recording takes a minimum of two hours in the postproduction phase. As such, we require a word count of your manuscript so that the total hours can be factored into your initial quote.
Step 4: Distribution and Audiobook Publishing
Upon completion of your audiobook and your final approval, if distribution is something you're looking to, we will assist you opening your account with one of the industry's leading global audiobook suppliers and uploading your MP3 audiobook files along with your metadata and audiobook cover artwork. Our audiobook publisher gives you the choice of having your title where you want it with over 50 global online retailers to choose from including the major players Audible, Apple, Google Play and Spotify.
Our entire service, from recording to distribution ensures you, the author, retain full copyright and distribution rights. We will also supply you with the master MP3 audiobook files on USB for future prosperity.
